Chintu Patel

Co-Chairman

Chintu Patel, R.Ph., is the CEO of Kashiv BioSciences and Co-Founder, Co-Chairman of Amneal Pharmaceuticals LLC. With a vision of building a company to provide affordable medicine, a company based on quality and integrity, he co-founded Amneal Pharmaceuticals in 2002. Mr. Patel and his brother Chirag Patel transformed the company from a true start-up to over 6,000 employees, ranked as the 5th largest generic pharmaceutical company in the U.S. after being listed on the NYSE in 2018. He has also co-founded and or invested in several independent biopharmaceutical companies – Asana Biosciences, Kashiv BioSciences and Prolong Pharmaceuticals, each of which specializes in innovative science and drug delivery technologies. Before founding Amneal, Chintu was a pharmacist and senior-level manager with Eckerd Pharmacy from 1994 to 2002, where he won numerous awards.

Chintu, along with his brother Chirag, were honored with the Ernst & Young National Entrepreneur of the Year Life Sciences Award® in 2011 for their business achievements. He has been a strong advocate for both business and non-profit endeavors. Chintu has been a featured speaker at the Hauppauge Industrial Association in New York and serves on the Boards of the Long Island Association, Long Island University, and the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Chintu and his wife, Falguni, run the Irada International Foundation, which focuses on health, education, and community outreach projects in India and the United States. Chintu holds a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from Rutgers College of Pharmacy.
